Il freddo inizia a farsi pungente, il camino ricomincia a fumare e la legna ad entrare nelle nostre case. Ogni paesaggio si colora di tinte tenui e calde, quelle che io amo tanto. Le olive sono ormai mature, ciò significa che il mio weekend sarà all'insegna del country-living.
Ebbene sì, toccherà anche a me raccoglierle. Vi dirò, l'idea non mi dispiace. è bello passare due giorni a lavorare tutti insieme a contatto diretto con la campagna e con i suoi frutti.
This is for sure the period of the year I like most. Cold begins pungent, chimneys start again to throw away smoke and the wood enters in our homes. Every landscape is colored by soft and warm shades, those that I love. Olives are almost ripe and this means that my weekend will be ruled by country-living. Well yes, I have to pick olives. Actually, I don't dislike the idea. Spending two days working all together closely with the country and its fruits.
Facendo i preparativi per il fine settimana, mi sono imbattuta in meravigliosi sacchi di juta. La juta e la canapa sono le fibre tessili più utilizzate per il trasporto delle olive (e non solo), sia perché sono economiche sia perché i loro tessuti sono molto traspiranti. Questi materiali si ricavano dal fusto di alcune piante della specie Cannabis sativa.
É inutile specificare che ho subito pensato a come riutilizzare i sacchi. Adoro i materiali naturali e credo che contribuiscano a rendere una casa accogliente. Se amate lo stile country o quello industriale queste fibre sono un must.
Mi sono venute diverse idee da realizzare senza spendere troppo. Considerate che i sacchi di juta hanno un prezzo che va da 1,50 a 15 € a seconda di dimensioni e tessitura. Sono in vendita anche su Amazon, oltre che nei negozi dedicati all'agricoltura.
Preparing for the weekend, I come across wonderful burlap sacks. Burlap and hemp are the most common fibers used to transport olives (and more other fruits), both for its cheapness and for the breathability of their fabrics. This materials come from the stem of some plants of the Cannabis sativa specie.
No need to say I immediately thought about some ways to reuse sacks. I adore natural materials and I think they contribute in making an home cozy. If you like country or industrial styles this fibers are a must have.
I had some DIY projects to make without spending so much. You know, burlap sacks cost from 1,50 to 15€ depending on dimensions and weaving. You can find them even on Amazon.com, as well as in stores for agriculture.

Potete scegliere se chiudere il sacco aggiungendo lacci, bottoni o cuciture a seconda dell'effetto che volete creare. La chiusura a nodo garantisce un effetto romantico ed è perfetta per camere da letto shabby o in stile provenzale. Se vi piace lo stile industriale, potete aggiungere lettere o numeri con lo stencil. La ruvidità del tessuto agevola molto questa tecnica, limitando le possibilità di sbavature ed errori.
You can choose to close the sack adding laces, buttons or stitchings depending on the effect you want to create. The knot is very romantic and it is perfect for a shabby or provencal mood. If you like industrial style, you can add letters or numbers in black with the stencil.
The roughness of the fabric, makes this technique easier, limiting the chances of mistakes and smears.

Quando ho cercato delle immagini di pouf pensavo di trovare qualcosa di diverso, come i meravigliosi beanbags! Purtroppo non sono riuscita a trovarne. Probabilmete il tessuto è troppo rigido per assumere questa forma, ma io l'idea ve la lancio comunque. Magari qualcuno di voi con le manine d'oro riuscirà a realizzare queste morbide sedute. L'effetto finale dovrebbe essere più o meno questo, anche se il pouf in foto è in fibre di cotone.
When I searched for some pictures of burlap poufs, I thought I would found something different, like the amazing beanbags! Unfortunately, I couldn't found them. Probably the fabric is too rigid to take this shape, anyhow I launch this idea. I'm sure someone of you have the fairy hands to make this soft sitting. The end effect is like this, even if the pouf in the photo is made of cotton fibers.
